About the Training:
This course raises awareness about mental health and well-being in the construction industry. It provides education — not treatment — on the signs and symptoms of mental illness, and aims to reduce stigma around mental health in the workplace.
Participants will learn how mental health affects safety, performance, and quality of life — and how to support employees in building resilience, addressing stigma, and finding resources.
Topics Include:
• Good vs. poor mental health
• Common mental health disorders and causes
• Workplace impacts: performance, safety, career and financial outcomes
• Stigma and starting the conversation
• Suicide prevention and addiction recovery
• Building personal and organizational resilience
• Resources and support for improving mental well-being
