Clays-for-Kids Foundation is a non-profit created by a group of construction executives who enjoyed shooting sports together. In 1998, the group decided to have the event begin fundraising to support local organizations directly helping children. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated more than $400,000 to support children around the state of Michigan. CFK has no paid staff, consultants or overhead to the foundation, all work is done strictly by volunteers with 100% of funds raised going to the chosen children’s organization.
ABC Western Michigan is a sponsor and coordinator of this annual event.
ABC/WMC is proud to announce Ele's Place as the 2021 charity recipient. Ele's Place West Michigan is dedicated solely to helping children and teens work with and through grief. Unfortunately, the need for our services will never go away. Unresolved grief negatively affects our children and teens, contributing to alarming rates of depression, addiction, and violence.Ele’s Place West Michigan started in 2013 by offering one night of weekly programming. After 2 years, we have expanded our services to Monday, and Thursday evenings serving an average of 100 grieving children and teens each week from dozens of communities. The need for these services is critical.
