Mike Brechting’s construction career began at 16, sweeping floors for his uncle’s residential construction company. Starting as a laborer with no prior experience, his drive to learn quickly set him apart. Two years later, he transitioned to commercial construction under another uncle’s mentorship. While working on demolition and carpentry projects, Mike found his passion for the craft and began building his career.
Over the next five years, Mike honed his skills in carpentry, sequencing, and job site management. His dedication and team-first attitude earned him the trust of peers and supervisors. Committed to doing the job right—even when no one was watching—Mike built a strong foundation of technical skill, integrity, and attention to detail.
Joining Triangle Associates was a key moment in his career. He started as a skilled tradesman on the Ferguson Apartments project, where he learned important lessons about planning and scheduling. Over time, his flexibility and leadership earned him a promotion to superintendent. In his leadership role, he stays hands-on, working alongside his crews to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
