WMCI is the official training provider for the merit shop.
Since the beginning, ABC has been committed to growing the merit shop construction industry. Our efforts culminated in 2022 with the founding of the West Michigan Construction Institute (WMCI). We’re so grateful for the years of support, commitment, and dedication from our members who made this achievement possible.
WMCI offers comprehensive National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) training utilizing a blend of hands-on learning and classroom instruction from industry experts. Each year, WMCI offers courses for professionals of all levels, from field leaders to high school students and everyone in between.

We needed a place for people to identify with careers in construction, with ABC, with the merit shop philosophy, and ABC members, and that’s what this place is.
